This wide-field image highlights the region of the winter sky of the Horsehead Nebula region and Orion Nebula complex. Both winter gems are imbedded in an immense cloud of red emitting ionized hydrogen which dominates the region. A hydrogen alpha filter was used to reveal the full extent of glowing hydrogen gas in the region.
